Our Impact

We partnered with Uniswap to strategize and build two web3 commerce projects for their collab with KidSuper. Both allow customers to finally purchase products with crypto.

Uniswap’s online and POS storefront, Unishop, opens up an entirely new revenue stream
They can sell their products both online and in person at pop-ups and events
Both showcase the ease and accessibility of paying with crypto and Uniswap Wallet

The Uniswap Protocol is the leading decentralized exchange in crypto.

It's an open-source code base that automates trades between users on Ethereum and other blockchains, without the need for third parties.

Uniswap Labs creates products for the web3 marketplace, such as web app Uniswap and mobile app Uniswap Wallet.

THE VISION

‍Uniswap’s mission is to spread awareness and increase adoption of Uniswap Wallet, help the world understand and easily interact with crypto and DeFi, and to create experiences that showcase the power of crypto in day-to-day life

Two commerce experiences would achieve this IRL and online:

A Uniswap commerce storefront to sell merch, featuring their collection with KidSuper, crypto payment options, and exclusive merch for Uniswap Wallet holders
Superswap Cafe, a co-branded pop-up coffee shop with KidSuper at their storefront in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with coffee and products that can be paid for with crypto or fiat

WHY LAZER?

‍Uniswap was taking its first steps into commerce and needed to be ready for their first in-person event. The Uniswap team chose to partner with Lazer because of our focus on engineering, speed, and quality while supporting their project strategy. An in-person experience and an online storefront

These commerce projects were two sides of the same coin: They needed to celebrate the partnership between Uniswap and KidSuper, as well as showcase how easy it is to pay with crypto and Uniswap Wallet.

In-person Approach

Designed for smooth transactions

We customized the Shopify POS and created a Uniswap POS app to enable quick and user-friendly checkout, whether the customer pays with fiat or crypto.

Customers choose their payment method and can see first-hand how easy both options are: you either tap your credit card or your phone.

Seamless Uniswap Wallet integration

We added QR code generation for each cart and connected the QR codes to Uniswap Wallet for payment processing.

We redesigned the Shopify storefront on desktop and mobile as the Unishop, aligning it with Uniswap’s branding, featuring their products and collections. We also created pages for the Uniswap x KidSuper collection.

Product & discount gating via wallet

Uniswap Wallet holders can connect their wallet to access exclusive discounts and products, either by scanning the QR code with the Uniswap Wallet mobile app or by using the Uniswap Chrome extension.

Online Approach

Crypto checkout integrations

The checkout supports crypto wallets such as Uniswap via DePay’s Shopify plugin, on top of the standard Shopify checkout options.

Growing the crypto ecosystem is one of the most important causes in the industry.

Uniswap being one of the key pillars taking on this challenge is incredible to see, especially as they focus on creating more ways for everyday consumers to engage with the world using crypto.

It was an amazing opportunity to collaborate with them as they take a global activity like commerce and make it easy to intersect it with crypto.
